Spring Break is March 18-22

All Jefferson School District 251 schools will be closed Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22, for Spring Break. School will resume on Monday, March 25. 

 

Kindergarten Round-Up

Jefferson School District 251 Kindergarten Round-Up is scheduled for March 13, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  and on March 14, from 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at all of the elementary schools in the district.  Students must be 5 years on or before September 1, 2019.  (Round-Up Information)

2019-2020 School Calendar Adopted

The Board of Trustees adopted a calendar for the 2019-2020 school year.  The calendar that received the most votes was calendar Option 2.  The first day of school will be Wednesday, September 4 and the last day of school will be June 4, 2020.  It includes a week long vacation at Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas and a week for Spring Break. 

Chinese and Spanish Immersion Enrollment Information

The enrollment window for the 2019-2020 Chinese and Spanish Immersion applications is open from Monday, February 4 through Friday, March 22. During this window, new applicants must apply online using the District´s New Student/Returning Student enrollment link located on the district´s website at www.jeffersonsd251.org.

If we have more applicants than seats available, a selection process will be held the first part of April. At that time, parents will be notified if their child has either been accepted or been placed on the waiting list.

Online Education Classes

Jefferson School District 251 is excited to announce a new educational opportunity for our High School Students. Starting fall 2018, students can enroll in Jefferson School District Online Education (JSDOE).

Students can register to be full-time online, part-time online, or take as little as one class for Advanced Opportunities or credit recovery.

School Bus Drivers & Substitute Teachers Needed

Jefferson County School District is the eleventh largest school district in the state of Idaho.  The district is made up of 1 preschool center, 6 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 2 high schools, and 1 online high school. Over the past 20 years the district has grown by 53%, with an average of 3.6% annually. The current average enrollment is 6,144 students in grades p-12. The district employs 328 certified staff and 330 non-certified staff.
